Forensic Solutions Ltd (FSL) is a registered company based in Dunedin, New Zealand. Forensic Solutions has strong science and investigation networks within New Zealand and internationally.

We have the ability to access scientists and scientific analyses from a wide variety of 'high-tech' science providers from a variety of disciplines and national science institutions.

Mike Darling
Founder and Managing Director

Mike has a forensic background with 20 years working for the NZ Police, primarily as a Detective. Prior to establishing Forensic Solutions, Mike worked as the Forensic Manager at Iso-trace New Zealand Ltd for 3 years, this is a specialist University of Otago owned forensic Isotope investigative laboratory.

Mike continues to work with and alongside forensic investigators and agencies around NZ and the world, he has undertaken investigations and provided investigative training for a variety of private individuals, government departments including MAF, Department of Conservation, Fish and Game Otago and the University of Otago.

Mike has direct access to extensive networks of key scientific consultants and researchers from within New Zealand and globally. Projects managed to date involve investigations confidential investigations of a sensitive nature, fraud, theft, burglary, food commodities, biological and geological sample of forensic importance.

Mike through Forensic Solutions project managed a three contract for the MAF and DoC, the CDRP rain water project. That project developed a national rainfall water database map for NZ and will provide the primary signal for point of origin investigations.

Mike also undertakes a management a role at Oritain (www.oritain.com) where he provides operational support for investigations where food origin is in question.
